Product Description:

The desilter is a three-level solid control device in the solid phase control system of oilfield drilling. It is mainly used to treat drilling fluid and effectively remove mud particles with a particle size between 15 and 74μm in the drilling fluid. It is an important equipment to ensure the stability of drilling fluid performance, improve drilling efficiency, and reduce drill bit wear. It is in the middle link of the solid control process. After the vibrating screen initially screens the larger particles, the drilling fluid is further finely treated.

Product Structure:

1. Hydrocyclone: ​​It is the core component of the desilter, consisting of an upper cylinder and a lower cone. Its specifications and quantity are determined according to the processing volume requirements. The common single hydrocyclone diameter is between 100 and 150mm. The inner surface of the hydrocyclone is made of polyurethane wear-resistant material.
2. Mud pump: Provide the required pressure for the drilling fluid to enter the hydrocyclone to ensure the smooth centrifugal separation process.
3. Bracket and base: Used to support and fix the hydrocyclone and mud pump to ensure the stability of the equipment in the harsh environment of the drilling site. The bracket adopts a steel structure, which is sturdy in design and easy to install and transport.
4. Connecting pipes and valves: Responsible for connecting the mud pump, hydrocyclone and other solid control equipment to achieve smooth flow of drilling fluid. The valve is used to control the flow and direction of the drilling fluid, which is convenient for the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Working principle:

During operation, the drilling fluid treated by the vibrating screen is tangentially input into the hydrocyclone at a certain pressure through the mud pump. Inside the hydrocyclone, the drilling fluid rotates at high speed to generate a strong centrifugal force. Because the density of mud particles is greater than that of drilling fluid, under the action of centrifugal force, the particles are thrown to the inner wall of the hydrocyclone, and move downward along the inner wall spirally, and finally discharged from the bottom flow port. The relatively clean drilling fluid forms an internal vortex and flows out from the overflow port to achieve solid-liquid separation.

Maintenance:

In order to ensure the normal operation of the desilter and extend its service life, regular maintenance is required. This includes cleaning the screen, checking the wear of the cyclone, and injecting grease. The screen should be cleaned after shutdown to prevent the mud from drying and solidifying and being unable to be used next time.
