Oil rig rotary slip is a kind of handling tools specially used to handle drill pipe during the oil well drilling operations for the exploration of petroleum and natural gas. It is an essential tool for coupling and uncoupling.
Our company Huichi petro produces and sells drill pipe slips of SDS, SDML, and SDXL types; drill collar slips of DCS-S, DCS-R, and DCS-L types, and casing slips of CMS-XL type series. Drill pipe slips can meet the needs of different types of drill pipes by replacing the tooth plates. Drill collar slips and casing slips can adapt to drill collars and casings of different diameters by adding or removing links and replacing the tooth plates. Safety slip series C-type and T-type high-quality alloy steel materials and professional heat treatment processes, flaw detection inspections provide reliable guarantees for product quality, all parts can be completely interchangeable with products of well-known brands, and the tooth plates have made a leap forward in the anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance of the products. Sucker rod elevator QSS2, the load-bearing suspender of the sucker rod elevator adopts integral horizontal forging technology, alloy steel materials, scientific metal streamlines and professional heat treatment processes, and load tests before leaving the factory. All parts can be completely interchangeable with products of well-known brands.
This series of slip products are designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of API Spec 7K. It is suitable for holding drill pipes and casings below 5½" in oil and gas drilling operations. It is used to hold drill pipes and is a tool for making or breaking out. According to the contact length between the slip teeth and the drill pipe, it is divided into short type (SDS), medium type (SDML) and extended type (SDXL). SDS is suitable for shallow wells, SDML is suitable for deep wells, and SDXL is suitable for deep wells.
1. The minimum operating temperature of slips is 0℃.
2. Select the corresponding slips according to the diameter of the drill pipe, casing and the maximum load. It is forbidden to exceed the use range.
3. Before use, pay attention to whether the pin shaft rotates flexibly and whether there is any jamming.
4. It is strictly forbidden to hit the mop and the back cone of the slip with a sledgehammer, or drop the slip from a high place to avoid damaging the handle and the back cone.
5. Clean and lubricate frequently to keep the surface of the slip clean and prevent rust.
6. Check the slips regularly (usually once every two months).
a. Check whether the tooth plate groove is enlarged;
b. Use a ruler to check the wear of the back cone of the slip body;
c. Check whether there are cracks on each rib plate;
d. Check the wear of the slip connection pin.
7. Eliminate the abrasive substances on the conical surface of the square tile to reduce the wear of the back cone of the slip.
8. Check the wear of the cone surface of the turntable core frequently and measure the diameter of the small end of the cone surface. If the size exceeds the specified size due to wear, it should be replaced.
9. After the slip teeth are worn, they should be replaced in time. Do not use the new and old tooth plates together to avoid concentrated loads and damage to the tooth plates, slip bodies, and drill rods.
10. When not in use for a long time, the slip should be cleaned, coated with anti-rust oil, and placed in a dry and ventilated place.
11. The back cone should not be repaired by yourself if it is severely worn.
