The choke manifold produced and sold by our company Huichi Petro is a necessary equipment for controlling well kicks and implementing oil and gas well pressure control technology. When the pressure in the well rises to a certain limit, heavy drilling fluid is pumped into the well through the well killing manifold to balance the bottom hole pressure and prevent well kicks and blowouts; when the pressure in the well rises, the well fluid can be released to control the casing pressure by opening and closing the throttle valve on the throttle manifold (there are three types: manually adjustable, hydraulic and fixed).
When the casing pressure is very high, it can be directly released through the gate valve to release the bottom hole pressure to protect the wellhead; it can also be used to inject clean water and fire extinguishing agent into the wellhead for cementing operations. Through the well killing manifold check valve, the well killing fluid or other fluids can only be injected into the well, but cannot flow back, so as to achieve the purpose of well killing and other operations.
The throttle manifold consists of a manifold base, a conversion flange, a check valve, a blind flange, a manual flat gate valve, a pressure gauge, a stop valve, a conversion flange, a five-way body, etc.
When the pressure in the well increases, the well fluid can be released to control the casing pressure by opening and closing the throttle valve on the throttle manifold (there are three types: manually adjustable, hydraulic and fixed). When the casing pressure is very high, it can be directly released through the gate valve.
The pressure levels of the throttle manifolds produced and sold by our company Huichi petro are divided into 14MPa, 21MPa, 35MPa, 70MPa, 105MPa, and 140MPa, which can also be designed according to customer requirements. The well killing manifold and the throttle manifold are designed and used in conjunction with each other according to API standards.
(1) The working pressure of all pipelines, gate valves, check valves, etc. must match the working pressure of the blowout preventer combination used;
(2) The throttling manifold should be installed in a place that is easily accessible to operators. It must be pressure tested during installation, and its sealing test pressure should be equal to the rated working pressure;
(3) The pipeline should be as straight as possible, and 120° cast steel elbows should be used at the bends of the pipeline. The pipeline should have a sufficiently large aperture;
(4) The well-killing manifold cannot be used as a pipeline for daily injection of drilling fluid;
(5) A working pressure gauge must be installed;
(6) During winter construction, the energy-saving manifold should have the performance to work under low temperature conditions.
