    The floating shoe and the floating collar are generally connected to the drill bit. Their function is to control the downward position of the rubber plug during cementing to ensure the length of the cement plug in the pipe to prevent the cement slurry from flowing back. However, it relies on the seal of metal and nylon, with poor sealing effect and low pressure bearing capacity. The floating shoe or floating collar is a casing guide shoe or collar that can generate buoyancy. The guide shoe is used to guide the casing string smoothly down the well to prevent the casing foot from inserting into the well wall rock formation and reduce the resistance of going down the well. In addition to the role of the guide shoe, the floating shoe also has the function of backflow. During the casing lowering process, the annular drilling fluid is kept flowing. The floating collar also has the function of preventing the cement slurry from flowing back. At the same time, it also has the function of pressing the rubber plug during cementing, limiting the depth of the artificial well bottom and the height of the cement plug at the bottom of the casing column, thereby ensuring the sealing quality of the bottom of the oil layer casing. According to the different ways in which the drilling fluid enters the casing when the casing is lowered into the well, the floating shoe and the floating collar can be divided into ordinary type and self-injection type; according to the working mode of the back pressure device, it can be divided into float ball type and tongue plate type, etc.
