The die collar is a tool specially used for making buckles and salvaging from the outer wall of tubular objects such as oil pipes and drill pipes. It can be used to salvage cylindrical objects without inner holes or with blocked inner holes. The mother cone is used in conjunction with positive and negative buckle drill pipes and other tools to achieve different salvage processes. The salvage thread is 5 buckles/25.4mm, with a dimension of 1:16. The salvage thread blade is hard and sharp, which is convenient for making buckles. When the die collar enters the outer diameter of the salvaged object, apply appropriate drilling pressure and rotate the drill bit to force the salvage thread to make buckles on the outer wall of the fish.
The die collar produced and sold by our company Huichi petro is a long cylindrical integral structure, consisting of an upper joint and a body. The upper joint has a positive and negative buckle marking groove, and there is a salvage thread on the inner conical surface of the body. When the die After the collar is wrapped around one end of the tubular object, appropriate drilling pressure is applied and the drill is rotated to force the salvage thread to squeeze into the outer wall of the fish to make a buckle. When the buckle can withstand a certain tension and torque, the object can be completely or partially salvaged by lifting or inverting. The buckle making principle is to squeeze and eat without cutting.
When the tool is 1-2cm below the top of the fish, start the circulation pump to flush, and gradually lower the tool to the top of the fish, and observe the changes in pump pressure.
1. If the pump rises suddenly and the weight on the indicator drops, it means that the top of the fish has entered the die collar, and buckle making and salvage can be carried out.
2. If the weight gradually decreases and the pump pressure does not change, it means that the top of the fish has not entered the die Inside the collar, the drill string should be lifted up, and then the pipe string should be rotated to re-align the fish cavity until the hanging weight and pump pressure change significantly, that is, the fish head enters the cavity, and then the pressure can be increased to make a buckle for salvage.
When salvaging a fish with a small outer diameter and no obvious change in pump pressure, a guide shoe structure should be used to prevent the wrong buckle position and cause an accident. It should be noted that during the salvage operation, it is not allowed to suddenly hit the fish head to prevent the fish head or salvage thread from being damaged. In particular, attention should be paid to analyzing and judging the position of the buckle thread to avoid serious consequences.
